HALO INFINITE FORGE

For 2023 I’ve started making maps in Halo Infinite’s Forge user generated content tools while also deep-diving into Halo: The Master Chief Collection for classic style and gameplay inspiration from its vast amount of content including more than 120 multiplayer maps.

FLOWSTATE

My first Halo Infinite map is an intense Quake-meets-Halo experience dressed in the Forerunner and Banished styles. Spartan Bots play really well and all Arena game modes are supported.

Classic Halo inspiration comes from Lockdown, Zenith, Solace, Haven, Edge, and Monolith where I’ve tried to pay homage to the cool weirdness and mystery of the older Forerunner designs while using the current Forerunner Forge assets in creative ways to make something fun and unique for Halo Infinite players.

The map layout features comfortable flat areas with a good mix of verticality to offer some really creative combat encounters, trick jumps, double-backs and surprise attacks! Jump in, embrace the chaos and achieve your perfect flow state ftw!

Design Background:

The original layout is from my Quake 3 “Bitter Pak” map “Temple” (aka “Forsaken Fist”) and was rebuilt in Halo Infinite’s Forge tool as a crossover learning exercise. I fell in love with the Halo Infinite movement style while bouncing around this map geometry and I hope players connect with its unique vibe and flow.
