HALO INFINITE FORGE

New 2025 updates are on my ArtStation

In 2023 I began making maps in Halo Infinite’s Forge Slipspace engine user generated content (UGC) tools while also deep-diving into Halo: The Master Chief Collection for classic style and gameplay inspiration from its vast amount of content including more than 120 multiplayer maps.

I’ve collaborated on a few projects with talented members from the HaloFunTime Discord and have a collection of solo projects that are gameplay-ready blockouts supporting all game modes including PVE experiences. Click through to Halo Waypoint for full credits and bookmarks to play the maps.

Small gorge, lots of fun

SMALLHALLA

  • Halo Waypoint UGC – Bookmark
  • PVP: 8 players
  • Pre-release social media buzz, memes from the Halo developers, selected for inclusion in the launch of the new “Husky Raid” matchmaking playlist
  • “Husky Raid” tug-of-war CTF map with random loadouts
  • 30% scaled version of Halo 3 fan favourite “Valhalla”
  • Initial blockout for proof of concept gameplay then a HaloFunTime collab
  • B2FP – Helped manually import “blockover” geo from Blender for perfectly scaled-down accuracy of the play space
  • Environment art for Forerunner wall and natural environment for foliage
  • Footnote: the success of Smallhalla revitalised interest in the “Blender 2 Forge Printer” (B2FP) workflow to create very accurate remakes of fan favourite maps, many of which are now featured in official matchmaking playlists for high quality player experiences

SMALLHALLA INFECTION

  • “Infection” round robin zombie game mode variant that combines Smallhalla with Halo 3’s “Isolation” to create a brand new all in one super creepy experience
  • Collaborated on the macro blockout to create connecting routes between the two maps
  • Art direction for Forerunner theme
  • Footnote: “Isolation” standalone map – the groundwork was laid for the HaloFunTime Discord crew to produce an amazingly faithful remake that was chosen for the popular “Halo 3 Refuelled” matchmaking playlist

SNOWHALLA FIREFIGHT

  • Halo Waypoint UGC – Bookmark
  • PVE: 4 players
  • PVP: 8 players
  • Snow themed version of Smallhalla with a focus on intense 4 player co-op PVE “Firefight King of the Hill” experience
    • Small PVE play space, a challenge to create 5 distinct encounters
    • If played in a linear PVE fashion, the narrative sees the players push back the occupying enemy forces to liberate the small gorge

HACKSAW CANYON

  • PVP: 16 players
  • “Squad Battle” map intended for PVP 8v8
  • BLOCKOUT – Supports all Halo Infinite game modes across the range of team deathmatch, CTF, and various zone control modes
  • Also supports 4 player co-op PVE “Firefight King of the Hill” with 5 distinct encounters
    • Custom scripting to add randomized drop pods with mini-boss encounters
  • Pipeline proof of concept to remix Halo 4 campaign geo in Blender, quickly validate the new layout in UE5 PIE, and import into Forge using the community-made B2FP tool
