DOOM 3
Senior Level Designer (multiplayer)
Splash Damage,
2004 - PC

An id Software game published by Activision, Doom 3's multiplayer levels were created by Splash Damage.

"Science has unlocked the gates to the unknown, and now only one man stands between Hell and Earth. A sci-fi horror masterpiece, DOOM 3 is like nothing you have experienced. Dramatic storyline, pulse-pounding action, incredible graphics, and revolutionary technology combine to draw you into the most frightening and gripping first person gaming experience ever created."

My role as Senior Level Designer on the project saw me creating layouts, detailing, lighting, scene performance optimisations, and bug fixing. The online multiplayer levels took design queues from the singleplayer campaign but sometimes our MP maps fed ideas back into the SP maps-- my design for the Frag Chamber level inspired id Software designer Mal Blackwell to incorporate it back into the main story of the game.

Towards the end of production, I had the great opportunity to spend six weeks on location at the id Software offices in Mesquite, Texas working under the supervision of Tim Willits, creative director and co-owner of id Software. It was amazing to work closely with the world-class talent of id Software.
